The ltl shipping company is the largest transport Canadian Forces. Its mandate is to provide a transport service to all units of CFB Gagetown, seven units of the Reserve Force and 17 units of cadets. To do so, the company has an average of 170 employees and a fleet of about 550 vehicles.
The functional organization of the company includes the pack of multi-purpose vehicles, the platoon specialized vehicles, cell vehicle fleet management, the platoon movements, the security section of MMS, the section of postal services, support platoon campaigning and the command post for the company.
The pack of multi-purpose vehicles is the biggest bunch of the company, it provides a transport service for passengers and goods. Passenger transportation includes vehicles of staff and coaches. The transport of goods includes delivery of mail, transport by heavy goods vehicles and trucks means jumbo jets as well as towing tank.
The platoon specialist vehicles is responsible for carrying out maintenance and snow removal of approximately 700 km of roads and providing support to other projects of construction engineering at the Base and in the training area. The section is responsible for petroleum products refuelling units in addition to the bunkering operations in 403 Squadron operational training (helicopters).
